ANOTHER MAJOR AWARD FOR A GODDARD COMPANY
Goddard Catering Group Bonaire (GCG BON) has now joined the group of award winning GCG companies who have been collecting awards for excellence in their service delivery. This time it is the QSAI (Quality and Safety Alliance Inflight Services) Excellence Award which they have graciously accepted for the 3rd consecutive year.
General Manager Francisco Mayorga and Operations Manager Elvis Cisneros, received the Gold Award for the year 2013 for the Americas region at a glittering art-deco themed gala award ceremony held on February 25th, 2014 at the historic Raleigh Hotel in Miami, Florida. This formal event was hosted by Medina Quality and QSAI participating airlines. The Goddard Catering Group Miami based Headquarters team was represented at the ceremony by Alejandro Palma, Corporate Chef and Ivan Zentilli, Corporate Lean Manufacturing, HACCP & Safety Manager.
GCG considers this award program to be an extremely important one both for the airline catering industry and GCG as it rewards an exemplary record of performance and demonstration of excellence.
It is important to note that Medina Quality has been performing regular quality and safety audits at many of the GCG locations on behalf of several of the GCG customers and represents a total of 9 airlines worldwide including Air Canada, Air Canada Rouge, Virgin Atlantic, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, Air France, All Nippon Airways, Aeroflot Russian Airways, Korean Air, Singapore Airlines and Japan Airlines. A total of nine awards are given each year to three geographic regions – Asia, the Americas, and Middle East/Europe/Africa and GCG won their award from a strong field of 220 catering facilities in over 50 countries.
After congratulating the winning team, Divisional General Manager Stewart Massiah stated “This prestigious award should be a strong motivator for all of the GCG locations to strongly enforce our global quality and safety standards and maintain our brand high up on this prestigious ranking.”
“Once again, we congratulate the GCG team in Bonaire and encourage all other participating locations to excel in their upcoming audits.” he added.
