POLITE HINT? BARBADIAN PRIME MINISTER RECEIVES BOOKS ON BANKING

Prime Minister Freundel Stuart has added information on colonial banking in Trinidad and Tobago to his personal library, following the recent presentation of two publications by the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Republic Bank Limited, Ian De Souza.

The two publications, Republic Bank 1837 – 2012: A Proud Legacy of Service and From Colonial to Republic & 150 Years of Business and Banking in Trinidad and Tobago – 1837 -1987, were recently produced.

Mr. Stuart expressed appreciation to Mr. De Souza for his thoughtfulness in presenting the two books, noting that the Bank had survived, despite going through many changes, and continues to contribute exemplarily to the maintaining of high standards in the financial sector. (SA/BGIS)
