A 2k/5k walk will be part of the featured activities for the NISE 100 Improvements Extravaganza which will be held on Monday 28th April 2014 at the LIME Playing Field, Wildey, St. Michael

The event’s aim is to promote healthy living, environmental awareness and the support of Barbadian goods and services. This will be done through the creation of an exercise zone, a horticultural zone and the Bajan Village Food Court and Entrepreneurial Marketplace.

There will be a wide range of activities which will focus on three of the 100 Improvements challenges, namely the Movement Challenge, the Buy Local Challenge and the Environmental Challenge. Under the Movement Challenge theme there will be a range of activities including a 2K/5K Walk, Soca-Robics and Line Dancing.

The Buy Local Challenge will be the focus of cooking demonstrations and the Entrepreneurial Marketplace and Bajan Village Food Court which will be featured at the Extravaganza. There will also be horticultural displays and plants on sale as part of the focus on the 100 Improvement’s Environmental Challenge. Admission is free and activities for the fun-filled morning run from 5:00 am to 10:30 am on April 28, 2014.
