Hollywood Executive Valerie Scoon assists with Barbadian film: Vigilante

Hollywood Executive Valerie Scoon who has worked with Warner Brothers and also Oprah Winfrey’s Harpo Films recently paid a visit to Barbados.

Scoon was here as her Documentary “Grenada; Colonialism and Conflict” was being featured as part of the African World Documentary Film Festival at the Cave Hill Campus and also to work with local producer “Step By Step Productions” Marcia Weekes on her next film now in production “Vigilante – The Crossing“.

Scoon who is also a Professor at Florida State Film School, said she enjoyed working with the “Vigilante” script and she is hoping to supply an expert crew to assist in Barbados when shooting starts on the new production in April.

She stated sponsorship would be needed to provide this assistance and noted “The Crane Hotel” is already on board and it is hoped more corporate support will be forthcoming.
