Project Manager Donna Clarke updates viewers on progress to date presented by the funders of the campaign – The Maria Holder Memorial Trust and coordinators, Supreme Counselling for Personal Development.
While Supreme Counselling’s Clarke sees “Zero Tolerance” as a temporary measure in addressing this ongoing childhood scourge, he emphasises the duration of this initiative developed in Oslo over three decades ago by a psychologist after a child lost their life to bullies. Mr Clarke informed the press conference how there will be a school contest with a prize of $300 for the best Youtube video created against Bullying which is judged on Facebook with the most Like’s…
Not only looking at minds and how they develop, the Trust also considers the future of Barbados’ aging population… A generous donation by The Maria Holder Memorial Trust, made it possible for The Heart & Stroke Foundation to implement a three year rolling equipment procurement plan, which has seen the replacement of existing as well as the procurement of new equipment for both the Cardiac Disease Prevention & Rehabilitation Programme (CDP&R) and the Emergency Cardiac Care Programme (ECC).
The Foundation’s current President, Humphrey Metzgen, indicated the exercise is not only seen as a means of restoring health but a way of developing community between members (CLICK ON FOLLOWING ICON FOR AUDIO)
