JAMAICAN LEVY SWALLOWER CHARGED

1. Members of the Drug Squad arrested and charged Jamaican national, Esroy Pasington Levy, 48 years, for the offences of:

  • Possession of ½ lb of cannabis
  • Possession with intent to supply
  • Trafficking; and
  • Importation.

Levy arrived by air from Jamaica on 19 March, 2014 and was interviewed by Police after clearing Immigration. He was referred to a medical facility where he passed out 29 packets containing cannabis which he had ingested. Weight ½ lb.

JAMAICAN ELLIS SWALLOWER CHARGED

2.  Members of the Drug Squad arrested and charged Jamaican national, Gladstone Jeffrey Ellis, 36 years, for the offences of:

  • Possession of ¼ lb of cannabis
  • Possession with intent to supply
  • Trafficking; and
  • Importation.
{IMAGE VIA - thejournal.ie} Ellis arrived by air from Jamaica on 19 March, 2014 and was interviewed by Police after clearing Immigration. He was referred to a medical facility where he passed out 13 packets containing cannabis which he had ingested. Weight ¼ lb.

BARBADIAN MOTHER AND SON CHARGED FOR DRUG OFFENCES

3. Marita Eugene Odle, 42 years, and her son Rico Antonio Odle, 24 years 1st Avenue Weekes Land, Goodland, St. Michael, were both arrested and charged separately for the below mentioned offences committed at the Grantley Adams International Airport:

  • Possession of 5.6 kgs of cannabis
  • Possession with intent to supply
  • Trafficking; and
  • Importation.
{IMAGE VIA - cbsa-asfc.gc.ca} They arrived on the same flight from Canada on 24 March, 2014. They were separately stopped and interviewed by Police. Marita Odle was then referred to Customs, where a search of her luggage revealed 5.6 kgs of cannabis hidden in a false bottom of her suitcase.

Rico Odle was also referred to Customs, where a search of his luggage revealed 5.6 kgs of cannabis hidden in a false bottom of his suitcase. They were both detained.

Levy, Ellis and the Odles appeared at District B Magistrates Court…
