Wasteful Employment of Barbados Police by British nationals & another charge along with court results

Edward John Denney 41 years and Tululla Sydney Georgia Salvatori 27 years, British nationals staying at Sandy Lane, St James, were arrested and charged that they caused wasteful employment of the police by knowingly making a false report tending to show that an offence had been committed namely aggravated burglary.

The two reported to the police that their residence was burglarised and property to a value of over Bds $22,000,000.00 was stolen. The matter was investigated and the accused recanted their report and as a result were arrested and charged.

Tululla Sydney Georgia Salvatori 27 years, was also charged for Obtaining services by deception.

Salvatori hired a motor vehicle from a Car Rental Company and presented a cheque for the equivalent amount of $7606.25, which was subsequently dishonoured. A report was then made to the police.

They both appeared at the Holetown Magistrates Court on the mentioned charges to which they pleaded guilty. On the charges of Wasteful employment, each was sentenced to 9 months in prison. Salvatori was sentenced to 9 month to run consecutive to the other sentence for the offence of Obtaining services by deception (18 months in total).
