HBO ANNOUNCES ITS MARCH MOVIE PREMIERES IN THE CARIBBEAN
HBO Latin America brings 5 movies to its Caribbean lineup every Saturday at 21:00hrs AST* during the month of March, so you can enjoy the greatest blockbuster hits, from suspense to comedy and sci-fi to family fun.
- HBO kicks off the month with THE APPARITION (Saturday, March 1st, 21:00hrs AST*), written and directed by Todd Lincoln. In this horror film, a young couple is being terrorized by an entity that was accidentally conjured during a parapsychology experiment at the university. Their only hope is an expert of the supernatural, but it may still be too late to reverse the damage. The film stars Ashley Greene, Sebastian Stan, Tom Felton, Julianna Guill and Luke Pasqualino.
- Action, adventure and science fiction come together in AFTER EARTH (Saturday, March 8th, 21:00hrs AST*), directed by M. Night Shyamalan and starring Jaden Smith and Will Smith. Planet Earth has been abandoned for one thousand years when Kitai and his father, General Cypher, crash-land into the quarantined planet after an unexpected asteroid shower. As the only two survivors, and with his father badly injured, Kitai must now trek the dangerous planet alone, being chased by strange creatures, to find the missing piece that can get them back home to Nova Prime.
The family theme continues with a sports-drama about a troubled father-daughter relationship in TROUBLE WITH THE CURVE (Saturday, March 15th, 21:00hrs AST*), directed by Robert Lorenz. Starring Clint Eastwood, Amy Adams, Justin Timberlake, Mathew Lillard and John Goodman, it tells the story of an aging baseball scout struggling with both his health and with his relationship with his estranged daughter. Fighting to keep his job, the two travel together in search of a new baseball talent.
- OZ THE GREAT AND POWERFUL (Saturday, March 22nd, 21:00hrs AST*) transports viewers to a world of adventure, fantasy and magical creatures where Oscar Diggs, a disreputable magician, comes from dusty Kansas to the Land of Oz where he is forced into a power struggle between three witches. Based on L. Frank Baum’s “Oz” novels, the film stars James Franco, Mila Kunis, Rachel Weisz and Michelle Williams, and is directed by Sam Raimi.
Capping off the month is the sequel GROWN UPS 2 (Saturday, March 29th, 21:00hrs AST*), directed by Dennis Dugan. Written and produced by Adam Sandler, who also stars in the film, the comedy co-stars Kevin James, David Spade, Salma Hayek, Maria Bello, Maya Rudolph and Chris Rock. The four friends are reunited once again when Lenny and his family move back to his Connecticut hometown. The grown ups soon discover that, while some things don’t change, they are also learning some new things from their own kids.
