CELEBRITY GOLD HEARTS DAY AT VARIETY THE CHILDREN’S CHARITY – Valentine’s Day at Cave Shepherd

Variety the Children’s Charity recently launched its new campaign
HEARTS4HEARTS to raise funds for children with congenital heart disease.
This Friday, Valentine’s Day, and Saturday Variety continues its campaign with the
help of special friends of Variety at Cave Shepherd Broad Street from 10:00am.

Each year in Barbados, another 15 names are added to the waiting list of children with congenital heart disease needing surgery. The early intervention costs for the parents of these children, born with various heart anomalies, are upwards of $60,000 for surgery.

The
public will have the opportunity to buy a heart from our patron Mrs. Mara Thompson
as well as other celebrities.

A small percentage of them are covered
by medical insurance; an even smaller percentage is sent overseas through the government Medical Aid
