The company, a provider of retail home appliances, electronics and furniture, distributed gifts to every child on the wards, in the form of games and puzzles to encourage the young patients to learn and play together. Gifts were also left for children who may join the ward over the Christmas period.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Katrina Newton said that Standard was excited to give back to the community as part of its corporate social responsibility. “We had a wonderful time with the children and their families spreading Christmas cheer and were very excited about this opportunity. It was such a wonderful feeling to bring a little joy to children at during this time. The spirit of Christmas is about giving and it was such a privilege to partner with LIFE 97.5FM to provide these gifts.”
