SHOOTING INCIDENT AT SIX ROADS, ST PHILIP: ARRESTS MADE

Police have arrested and charged Jerome O’Neal Bovell, 40 yrs, of 2nd Avenue, Spring Garden, St Michael for the following offence which he committed on the 2013-12-18 whilst at Six Roads, St. Philip:

1. Two (2) counts of Serious Bodily Harm;
2. Affray;
3. Possession of a firearm without a valid licence;
4. Unlawful possession of ammunition;
5. Use of a firearm without a valid licence; and
6. Criminal damage.

On 18th December, Shamar James and Jason Blenman were shot and injured while at Six Roads, St. Philip. Bovell was held at Lodge Road, Ch. Ch., and a shotgun was discovered. A motor car parked nearby where the shooting occurred was damaged.

Jerome Oneal Bovell, 40 yrs, of 2nd Avenue, Spring Garden, St Michael was also arrested and charged for the following offences committed on November 10. 2013 at Black Rock, St. Michael:

2. Theft of Use.

On the night of November 10, 2013, a man parked the car he was driving in a community at Black Rock to attend a function. On his return to the motor he encountered Bovell and several men and he subsequently had a struggle with them. He reported that he was then shot at. He returned to the area where he had parked the motor car and it was missing; It was later recovered…
