The prime minister along with some cabinet members including Roseau South MP, Ambrose George, on December 26, toured the south of the island which was badly hit by the storm.

“I have visited the persons and areas affected and I must say that it’s not a pleasant sight to have seen people in that state especially during Christmas, the government has committed itself to assisting those affected including the hotels of Ever Green and Anchorage,” Skerrit said.

He said Cabinet met twice in his absence, and he will liaise shortly to ascertain the way forward to benefit the Commonwealth. {DATA COURTESY: DominicaNEWS Online}
