So says President and CEO Nicholas Mouttet who was addressing 39 new employees at a full-day orientation session held recently at the Courtyard Marriott Hotel in Hastings.

ANSA McAL (Barbados) Ltd. is a large group with interests not only in Barbados but across the region. This affords numerous opportunities for you to broaden your professional horizons and I encourage you to take advantage of them,” Mr. Mouttet said.

The new employees, who joined the company between September 2012 and April this year, were introduced to the group’s subsidiaries and viewed a products’ showcase. They also received a greater understanding of the history of each subsidiary.

Diane Drayton, Senior Internal Auditor at ANSA McAL said the orientation was extremely interesting and informative. “I was not aware of the details as to how the company was formed and got a greater sense of the diversity and complexity of the group. I also got a better understanding of how the local operations fit into the wider group,” she explained.

Group Human Resources Administrator, Tricia Brathwaite who coordinated the orientation, noted that feedback from the new employees was very good. “Most of the new employees said that this was the first time they had ever participated in anything like this and they found it very informative. They were surprised by the sheer size of the group in Barbados and outside, not realising our regional breadth was so vast and that we also have interests in the United States.”
