BARBADIAN CHARGED WITH 2 MURDERS COMMITTED IN 2006

Anderson Antonio Williams, 31 years of 20 G, Haynesville, St. James, was arrested and charged by members of the Major Crimes Unit for two murders committed in 2006.

1. He has been charged for the murder of Rodney Stanford which occurred on the 6 July 2006 at Seclusion Road Black Rock, Saint Michael about 10.00 pm. The victim was walking along the said road when he was stabbed about his body and later died.

2. He has been charged for the murder of Jason Burton, which occurred on the 17 November 2006 at Nazarene Gap, Jackson, St. Michael. At the time the victim was among a group of men playing cards when he was shot.

{FILE ONLINE IMAGE} In both murders, other persons had been previously charged. Sometime after, Williams fled to the island to Saint Vincent, and in latter part of February 2013, he was returned to Barbados.

On Friday 1st March 2013, Williams appeared at the District A Magistrate Court and was remanded on both charges until 27 March 2013.
