U.S. Embassy Hosting “Screen on the Green” to close Black History Month Film Festival

The United States Embassy will wrap up its Black History Month Film Festival with a “screen on the green” showing of The Great Debaters this Thursday 28 February on the lawns of George Washington House.

Directed by and starring Denzel Washington, the Golden Globe-nominated film revolves around the true story of the efforts of a debate coach at the historically black Wiley College in the 1930's.

The Embassy welcomes everyone to bring their blankets, lawn chairs and snacks to this exciting, free event, which begins at 7 p.m.
