A rugby league was introduced in Jamaica just eight years ago, but the team sport has thrived and grown in popularity on the island.

Romeo Monteith, director of rugby at the JRLA and rugby league European development manager for the Caribbean, believes the sport will continue to grow and receive more recognition in the near future as officials and coaches are trained and educated.
