Despite a long history of almost 280 years, many people still do not know where to find Harrison College. To this end, the Executive of the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) commissioned David Spieler to design and create signage appropriate to historic integrity of the environs and centuries old structures.

Speiler, a noted potter/owner of Earthworks Potteries, former student and former Art teacher at Harrison College produced and donated this Terracotta signage in July 2012. Chris Hoyte, Managing Director of Terrific Tiles, also a former Harrisonian, donated his company’s services for the installation in mid August in time for the start of the academic year 2012-2013.

Harrison College proudly retains its quiet, verdant and historic charm nestled almost in the heart of bustling Bridgetown between Weymouth and Queen’s Park. From entrance to exit, this site extends from Crumpton Street to Roebuck Street and was recently included as part of the UNESCO-designated Historic Bridgetown and its Garrison. The school itself has played a prominent role in nurturing and developing many Barbadian minds during its 279 years of existence.
