U.S. President Barack H. Obama Meets with Burmese Human Rights activist Aung San Suu Kyi

Yesterday, the 44th POTUS met with Aung San Suu Kyi, Burmese Nobel Laureate and leader of the National League for Democracy Party.

The President expressed his admiration for her courage, determination, and personal sacrifice in championing democracy and human rights over the years. Bo, the First Dog, was kind enough to sit in on the meeting as well.

  1. (Ex)- Pris. O’Burma and Pres. Obama. I wish there was a close up photo of them together so I can remake their previous portraits. Back then, for the art exhibition in NY, mid-2010, hers was still “Pris.” How wonderful it is now that she is free!
