“Juvenescence” at Errol Barrow Centre for Creative Imagination ’til May 11th: Taisha Carrington
This is a double sided work, one which reflects European influences on one side and the other which is facing us now - shows the basic icons of the Caribbean
Is this the same Taisha Carrington who competed in Miss World for Barbados? Yes she is, so who says beauty pageants are limited to only music or batons as Talent? The spider was cast in plaster-of-paris and lost a leg along the way, which reminded of when I read the Anansi Boys from Neil Gaiman (those who read it will understand the reference, just no further detail so as to avoid any spoilers)
