PROOF that the Skeete’s Bay-Culpepper Island development is not “just in the planning stages” but is actually underway!
Dear Reader,

" -- This is a National treasure that is going to become a National DISGRACE if we as a people do not take a stand against what I deem the 'desecration' of our East Coast..."
I wish to add these {Skeete’s Bay} photos to the National debate/awareness, for I too read the Nation article with great interest – and was given the impression that the developer was still only in the planning stages, but after having gone to the site myself on Sunday 12th February 2012 – I saw that construction is actually underway!
Are we as a society going to sit back and let yet ANOTHER hidden gem of old Barbados be spoiled forever by ‘construction and progress‘? Where are our political leaders – and what are they doing about this? I support Mr Trotman and Mr. Wiltshire and all others who have their priorities in the right place – and have lent their voices to the defence of our natural heritage.

"{I} was given the impression that the developer was still only in the planning stages, but after having gone to the site myself..."
This is a National treasure that is going to become a National DISGRACE if we as a people do not take a stand against what I deem the ‘desecration‘ of our East Coast, a place of supreme beauty that should be preserved & protected for all present and future generations of Barbadians and visitors alike.

Sincerely,
A CONCERNED BARBADIAN
