CIBC First Caribbean Come Away Winners Of Piper-Heidsieck 4 Goal Tournament
It proved to be a very competitive tournament, but by the end of it all CIBC First Caribbean stood out as the class act in the recent Piper-Heidsieck 4 Goal Tournament hosted by the Lion Castle Polo Club.
With eight teams entered and featuring a mixture of local, English and Argentinean players, the tournament saw an exciting display of top quality polo witnessed by large crowds on each of play.

Rameses Browne, Wine & Champagne Specialist with Mount Gay Distilleries Limited, local distributors of Piper-Heidsieck Champagne, said the tournament was indeed a successful one and expressed his pleasure at having Piper-Heidsieck integrally involved with it:
“Polo and Piper-Heidsieck are certainly a great pairing, Polo being a well-established international sport and Piper-Heidsieck being one of the world’s top brands, both of which are growing rapidly in their popularity locally. We see the marriage between Piper-Heidsieck and Polo in Barbados being a long-lasting and enduring one and look forward to the Piper-Heidsieck 4 Goal Tournament developing into one of the largest Polo tournaments both locally and regionally.”
In recognition of their dominance throughout the tournament and their hard fought 2 to 1 victory over the Clifton squad, each player on the CIBC First Caribbean team took home a bottle of Piper-Heidsieck Brut Champagne, while the runners up received bottles of Mount Gay Rum.
