A comprehensive street map of Barbados – Book uses satellite imagery
Skyviews Atlas Barbados is available now – a convenient book that shows Barbados’ roads, districts and villages in unprecedented detail, allowing the user to navigate easily and precisely to any street in the island. Uniquely, the Atlas uses satellite imagery, allowing the user to see everything from buildings to beaches. It is believed to be the first such road atlas of its kind in the world.
The Atlas incorporates map pages, a business directory and an extensive street index, enabling the user to find a particular location in a variety of different ways. The map pages offer the ability to follow roads to their exact destination with photographic imagery. The business directory allows people to find a business by service type or business name – the listing tells you how to find it.
The street index lists over 2,000 street names, as well as all districts and beaches in Barbados – with corresponding page numbers and grid references enabling easy reference and navigation. It also includes a removable pocket visitor map showing major highways and popular places of interest.
“Skyviews Atlas Barbados is the island’s first known attempt to document and make readily available a comprehensive street map showing roads, districts and bays with designated names,” said Jessica Bensley, Managing Director of Skyviews Caribbean Ltd.
“The idea was borne to be of use for everyone using the roads in Barbados – private motorists, commercial vehicles, public service vehicles and visitors and anyone interested in expanding their knowledge on the geographical land mass known as Barbados. It is a convenient and effective solution to the challenge of precisely finding places when using Barbados’ extremely extensive road system“, the executive added.
Skyviews Atlas Barbados is now available island-wide in leading bookstores, gift shops and gas stations.
