Vote for your favorite work of Art! 5th Carmichael Prize Exhibition at the Zemicon Gallery
On December 6th 2009, between 6 pm and 8 pm at Zemicon Gallery, Hincks Street, Bridgetown, “BEGINNINGS” the 5th Carmichael Prize Exhibition opens.Dr Trevor Carmichael & James Gardiner of Goldcorp at a previous contest at Zemicon
The exhibition/competition is a group show that takes place every year, each year of its existence there is a different theme. This year the exhibition was limited to participants that are Past and Present students from the Barbados Community College ‘s Visual Arts Programme. The exhibition has two prizes that are to be awarded to the winning participating artists. One of the prizes is determined by a panel of judges, and the second one is determined by the audiences vote.
The great thing about this exhibition/competition is that the public gets to voice (vote) their opinion on which artist they think should win a prize for their work.
