HURRICANE HUNTER ON SHOW AT GRANTLEY ADAMS INT’L AIRPORT
Barbadians will get an opportunity to tour a hurricane hunter when, as part of the Caribbean Hurricane Awareness Trip (CHAT) for 2008, the aerial reconnaissance aircraft makes a stopover at Grantley Adams International Airport at month-end.It goes on show from 1.00 p.m. to 4.00 p.m. on March 28 with the first hour set aside for VIPs, government officials and media.
In the next two hours, school children and the public could make this educational and informative tour.
Director of the National Hurricane Centre, Bill Read, is in the plane?s contingent, who will give a press briefing before the display.
