Barbadians will have the opportunity to bid for a number of goods on Thursday, January 10, 2008, at an auction sale which will be conducted by the Customs and Excise Department.
The sale will take place at the Queen?s Warehouse, Terminal II, Grantley Adams International Airport from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Goods to be auctioned include garments, lighting fixtures, footwear, ornaments and miscellaneous hardware items.
Copies of the sale list will be available from the Officer-in-Charge of the Queen?s Warehouse, Grantley Adams International Airport.
However, persons who want to claim the goods prior to the sale must present all documentation, including import licences where applicable, and pay all duties and taxes on or before Thursday, January 3.Interested persons are asked to note that all goods are subject to the usual Customs formalities and payment must be by cash or certified banker?s cheque. Any goods sold and not cleared within 14 days from the date of the sale will be forfeited.
